Adjunct Faculty in Biostatistics

The New England College of Optometry is a professional graduate school in Boston’s Back Bay neighborhood with an enrollment of approximately 500 students.

We are seeking an adjunct faculty member in Biostatistics. The successful candidate will teach two courses in the fall semester (late August to early December) on Biostatistics for students in our Master of Science in Vision Science program.  In addition, the Biostatistics faculty member will be available throughout the academic year to advise our faculty members and students who are engaged in basic and clinical vision research. Advising areas would include experimental design, power analysis and data analysis. The teaching component of the position is 0.2 FTE while the advising component is 0.2 FTE; the schedule for the advising component is negotiable. The desired candidate will hold a Ph.D. in Statistics and have experience in biostatistics, experimental design and epidemiology. The College is located in the Back Bay section of Boston. Salary is commensurate with experience and the position would start July 1, 2017.
