Dr. Joseph D Conigliaro
I have been in private practice for 37 years and I am now looking towards retirement. My practice was started about 90 years ago and I am only the third doctor to have had it. I am in a small town in central NY but there are about four other small towns nearby from which we draw patients. A typical day is about 10 full examinations as well as various emergencies or office visits. I used to work about 55 hours/ week but about 10 years ago I scaled back to about 30 hours/ week. The pace of the practice is fairly relaxed, which has allowed me to spend quality time with my patients. In this small town environment, that is greatly appreciated by our patients and they remain very loyal. The practice continues to grow with new patients.
