We are seeking an optometrist to join our awesome private practice. We are a young, fast-growing practice located on Main Street of a growing, vibrant, beautiful college town in the Blue Ridge mountains of Virginia.  We are looking for a doctor comfortable with full-scope primary care, and seeking someone with experience in, or desire to learn, pediatrics, binocular vision, and vision therapy.  Have or want to get your COVD? Perfect. Residency training preferred but not required.

Our patient base is large, comprehensive, and a lot of fun to work with. We see patients of all ages, starting with InfantSEE exams (<12 months), and take pride in managing cases of all forms related to medical eye disease, binocular vision dysfunction, refractive, specialty contacts, and more. You’ll be joining two ODs who practice to their full license potential.  Virginia is a great state to practice Optometry - there are very little restrictions to optometry.

We practice in a beautiful 5,200 square foot office with six exam rooms, large break room, 18 full time staff, and a large optical dispensary filled with distinctive eyewear.  We have award-winning doctors and staff, and we want you to help us continue to grow and help provide the best care.  We are looking for a doctor excited about always learning and expanding their skillset to better serve our patients.

Our practice employs well-trained technicians who do all pretesting, history, special testing, contact lens training, and more.  We have contact lens technicians to help see our routine contact lens follow ups. We have a vision therapy technician to train patients and perform in-house therapy.

You can look forward to using the following equipment to help take care of our patients:

Optovue iVue SD-OCT and iCam fundus photography
Optomap Daytona
Marco OPD Scan III (topography, wavefront aberrometer, pupillometer and pupillographer)
Tomey RT-7000 combo: Autorefractor, Keratometer, Corneal topographer
Marco Ion slit-lamp imaging (in every room)
Mibo Thermoflo
Mibo Lidpro
Humphrey Matrix Visual Field
Haag-Streit Octopus Visual Field
iCare Tonometers
DGH Pachmate 2 corneal pachymeter

Additional Salary Information: Competitive salary commensurate with experience and growth potential.  Benefits available including major medical, simple IRA, Aflac, and bonus structure for additional income.
